I definitely just passed my respiratory course with flying colors! I’m very happy to be done and very pleased with my score. This definitely was the second most difficult exam that I have taken in medical school. I can’t even count how many questions there were that I had more than one rationale for several different answers. That in and of itself makes it extremely difficult when one begins looking forward to focusing on studying for Step 1.To start, you have no idea which rationale should be used in a boards context versus that of this course.
Either way right now, I’m feeling pretty good. I’ve got plans to go see some friends tonight in Columbus and to see my family a little bit. Then, I have to come back and hit the ground running for this renal course. This is the last of the three rough ones before spring break. With spring break I’ll recharge a little bit and have some fun. Then I will be right back to working my tail off to make it through the last stretch: endocrine, reproductive, and G.I.–one after the other. I’ve already decided that at the end of all of that, I’m taking a weekend off. I guess that is my last relaxation before I start studying for boards.
Can you believe that I’m almost done with second-year?! I’ve said it before, but this is crazy! Time is moving so fast! I can’t wait until I’m in the hospitals!
