So here’s the thing, my entire life, all I’ve ever wanted to do was become a doctor. If you asked me in my first couple of years of life, I probably would’ve told you I wanted to be a doctor during the week and a fashion model on the weekends. Some things have changed since then, but I kept thinking, if I didn’t do medicine, what would I do? As a medical student, all you ever do is talk about medicine. But if you couldn’t pursue any field in medicine, what would you do? I’m here to reveal my answer.
If I didn’t do medicine, I would do one of two things: PR/Marketing specialist or a makeup artist. I love how women instantly perk up and feel more confident in the makeup industry; knowing that I may have had something to do with the happiness they feel is really special. Also, makeup is a form of art. Your face is a blank canvas, and makeup washes off! So why not experiment? Now for why I would want to be a PR/Marketing specialist. As I’ve said in previous posts, I’m a very friendly and outgoing person. I love planning events, seeing people having a great time, and meeting everyone around me. I’m a big believer in work hard, play hard, so attaching incentive and putting an announcement out at the perfect time is usually a recipe for success. I feel “in my element” when I can make something fun and get people excited about something. I apply my knack for PR and marketing in medical school too, so why not make that a backup option because it’s almost like a hobby?
I hope you enjoyed me sharing what I would do if I didn’t pursue a career in medicine. What would you do?
