I have to say I am so thankful that my professor planned to allow for us to have the Monday after Mother’s day off. I was able to study and what not and then pack my bags and head home to spend a full 3 days with my mommy. This comes after an exam week so the rest was much appreciated. I came home and spent Saturday running errands with my mom. Sounds pretty boring but between her car karaoke and my road rage there is nothing boring about any car ride. We then hung out for the evening and got sushi since we are the only two who really like it. On Sunday, I surprised my mom and my grandma with gift baskets before we went to brunch. My mom loves Denzel Washington so I once I found out the he was acting in A Raisin in the Sun on Broadway in New York City, I couldn’t help myself. She opened the box in her basket and was like, “A piece of paper?” before getting her glasses and seeing that it was a ticket for the show. After some screaming and happy dancing, we planned our trip. I’m so excited and she definitely deserves it after coming to clean my apartment once a month this year! Brunch was amazing! I swear I shouldn’t have eaten that much but it was totally worth it. Mother’s Day wasn’t just a celebration for moms this year, I had some really close friends graduate that day as well and unfortunately I wasn’t able to be there but I definitely made at least one of them smile! This morning, I headed back to school and after a small technical difficulty with my allergies and asthma not getting along, I made it back to practice my physical exam skills. Time to get back to studying, this week should be pretty easy and maybe I can get ahead!
