Every time the new year rolls around I feel the need to make new year’s resolutions. The new year brings new opportunities, it is time for growth, and it’s full of exciting potential yet to be discovered. With all that said, I feel like every day should bring about those feelings, especially for individuals in the medical profession.
I’ve expressed before how I tend to put off my happiness at times-thinking that for I will be able to live this life that I have always wanted once I finish medical school or graduate residency, or work in my dream practice. But I have come to realize that every day, as cliche as it might sound should be lived to the fullest regardless of the year or where I am in my career. I shouldn’t have to wait 365 days to achieve my goals, plan a dream vacation, or make changes to my health. So as I progress through this journey year after year I am going to make more of an effort to to grow every day and use my new opportunities to be the best version of myself.
