Goodbye 2018, HELLO 2019! This past year I got accepted into medical school and fell even more in love with the profession. I am forever grateful for the opportunity to be a medical student and to one day be a practicing physician. Below I have listed my resolutions for this upcoming year that I have learned after completing one semester of medical school.
- Choose happiness – During my first semester it was easy to get down with all of the information being thrown at me and the massive expectations I built for myself to be successful. I will try every day to do at least one thing that I know will put a smile on my face.
- Exercise – I always say I will try to exercise, but it ALWAYS fails. This year I have an accountability partner that will make sure I go to the gym with her. A good way to stay sane and healthy in medical school is exercising. I will try to do this at least 4 out of the 7 days.
- Plan more – Something I’ve talked about over and over again in this blog and in real life is planning! I absolutely love planning, but with the chaos of medical school it is sometimes difficult to find the time to do it. I will try to plan my week out the Sunday before the week starts.
I will definitely be making more resolutions in order for me to stay healthy and live happier! Make sure when you are setting resolutions to pick a topic that you can measure and set a timeline. What are your resolutions?
