So my last week of internal medicine is approaching and I feel like it just began. Where did the last twelve weeks of my life go? My internal rotation was definitely a positive experience for me, and I am really considering it as an option for residency. I’ve learned so much from so many different people in this short amount of time. I can’t wait to try out these other core rotations. I’m hoping they will be just as fulfilling. Now I have to prepare for my oral exam, update my CV, collect some letters of recommendation, and finish preparing for this shelf exam. I know, it sounds like a lot to do in a week, but just like everything else before, it’ll get done somehow. I really want to do well on this exam because the medicine shelf is one of the most important, especially since I’m considering a residency in internal medicine. This is definitely becoming a stressful time. I’ve been doing Uworld questions every day for the past 6 weeks in preparation, on top of some light reading. Hopefully this will be enough to help me conquer this exam. I can’t wait to begin surgery next. Always looking forward to new challenges ahead.
