Why is this renal course so complicated? I really don’t feel like I know anything. I’m going through questions and not understanding why I’m missing them. I’m really struggling to make connections in this material and I have less than a week to get it together! I just can’t wait, like I said before, until all of this is over and I’m looking forward to spring break.
Five days, that’s all I have left. Five days and after those five days, I can sleep and I can exercise and I can be a normal human being! I really feel like it’s important for us to remember to look towards the mini milestones, honestly giving yourself something to look forward to. For me it’s my sorority’s upcoming regional conference. It happens to be over my spring break and I get the opportunity to spend time with some of my sisters and get to know other sorors in the area! I have to get two presentations during the conference and I’m really nervous, but I’m sure it will all go well.
In the meantime, I’ll be focusing on these kidneys and figuring out the best way to tackle this material. I think the best thing for me to do at this point is just draw it out. One of my favorite study strategies is to draw out the different systems, especially when it comes to things that are very complicated like the nephron. Drawing it out and color coding it proves to be quite helpful. All in all I’m ready to pass this class and just go and lay down. A nap sounds really good right now!
