And just like that! 4 years of medical school are over. That means that my time here on the Merck Manuals has quickly come to an end. I’d first like to thank Merck Manuals for giving me the opportunity to blog on this platform! I found it a great way to talk about all aspects of medical school and my life (and how they intertwine!). It served as a way to get my passion and my feelings out there for all of you to read.
I would like to thank all of you who took the time to read the posts that I wrote. I hope you found them engaging and worth reading. To those of you who are current medical students, I’d tell you to press on! 4 years BLOW by and before you know it, you’ll be in my shoes. If you ever feel lost, angry, helpless or overwhelmed, remember to please seek help. Medical school is hard, and you have to take care of yourself before you can take care of patients. The road is difficult but ultimately rewarding.
To those of you who want to go to medical school, make sure you’re sure you don’t see yourself doing anything else. The cost of becoming a doctor is steadily rising as well as physician dissatisfaction. Remember to keep your hobbies and to stay curious because they will make you a better person and a better physician respectively.
And with that, I’m on to residency!
congrats
