Another healthy summer treat that I sometimes use as a meal replacement for breakfast is smoothies!! I love making smoothies at home that are as tasty as they are healthy. So I’d like to share a few of my favorite smoothie recipes with fresh fruit in season!
- Strawberry Mango Smoothie: In a blender, mix 1 cup of milk, ½ cup of fat-free vanilla yogurt, 1.5 cups of fresh strawberries, 1 medium mango (peeled & chopped), 2 cups of ice, & 1 tablespoon of honey or sugar substitute.
- Berry Smoothie: In a blender, mix 1 heaping cup of frozen mixed berries (feel free to substitute with fresh frozen berries), 1 cup of non-fat vanilla Greek yogurt, 1 cup of milk, & 1 tablespoon of honey or sugar substitute.
- Tropical Vacation Smoothie: In a blender, mix 1 cup strawberries, 1 banana, 2 cups orange juice, ½ cup non-fat vanilla Greek yogurt, 2 cups of ice, & 1 tablespoon of honey or sugar substitute.
- Peach Mango Smoothie: In a blender, mix 1 cup peaches, 1 cup mangoes, 1 banana, 1 cup orange juice, 2 cups of ice, & 1 tablespoon of honey or sugar substitute.
- Pineapple Orange Creamsicle Smoothie: In a blender, mix 1 cups of pineapple, 1/3 cup of orange juice, 1 cup of non-fat vanilla Greek yogurt, 2 cups of ice, 1 tablespoon of honey or sugar substitute, & 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
- Razzle Dazzle Smoothie: In a blender, mix 1 cup frozen raspberries, ½ cup of frozen mango, ½ cup pineapple, 1 cup of coconut milk, 2 cups of ice, and 1 tablespoon of honey or sugar substitute.
- Pina Colada Smoothie: In a blender, mix 1 cup of frozen pineapple, 1 frozen banana, 1 cup of coconut milk, 1 tablespoon of sugar substitute, and 2 cups of ice.
- Superfruit Smoothie: In a blender, mix 1 cup of frozen cherries, 1 kiwi, 1 cup of milk, 1 tablespoon of honey or sugar substitute, 1 tablespoon of chia seeds, and 2 cups of ice.
