During this entire journey of medical school, clerkships, and audition rotations I have made an effort to take care of myself and eat healthy. I wanted to continue this trend during my travels because I know that traveling can be a stressful time so feeding myself nutritious meals is a top priority. One thing that I have found helpful especially with shorter flights is to pack my lunch. I picked up a lunch box that I can freeze overnight and keeps meals cool for up to 12 hours. I usually pack a hardy salad or a sandwich. Snacks are also ESSENTIAL. What I love the most are personal-sized peanut butter packets that I pack with apples, bananas, or celery. Cliff bars, kind bars, or really just any bar can also come in clutch during those delays. Not only have I been able to save lots of money-because let’s be real airport food is expensive-but I also feel my best when constantly traveling. Let me know in the comments down below how you eat healthy when traveling!
