According to a paper published in 2013, the projected demand for women’s health services is estimated to increase by 6% in the year 2020. These services are forecasted to be needed in states with the highest population especially among women of color. In this paper, I will be discussing my social media campaign which is surrounded around women’s health. As indicated by the paper above, there is and will be a high demand for women’s health around the nation. However, women’s health is oftentimes equated to reproductive health, which is in itself an entirely different discussion. For example, in an article written by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) titled “Seven Things You May Not Know About Women’s Health” only two out of the seven facts are non-reproductive related. Although women’s health includes reproductive health, it should also take into consideration physical and mental health. What do you think can be done in current medical education to promote women’s health and wellness?
