Blessed, I’ve been offered a myriad of interviews all over the Midwest. I am almost half way done. I clustered my interviews so that when I visit a city, I finish all of the interviews in that area prior to moving on. Efficient right? Until all of the programs start to blend together. I sit to record the details of each program and my feelings after each interview so that I can keep the details straight. I know as interviews have progressed, what I thought I wanted in a program has changed. Who knew there are programs that value teaching OMM to everyone and global health is included in the curriculum? The opportunities are truly endless! I’m looking for a program that really values my future aspirations and is willing to help me to prepare.
When you’re scheduling interviews, it seems really cool to be able to travel for weeks on end. When matched with the SNMA traveling, now I have a new appreciation for home. My puppy misses me, my bed misses me–or maybe it’s the other way around. I’m grateful to think this time next year I’ll be a resident! Carpe Diem!
