I don’t know how I got here, but five fast-as-lightning months, eight nerve-wracking exams, and countless hours studying, we are at the last theme of the semester!
It’s amazing to think of how much information we’ve crammed into our heads over the past semester. The two-week themes were very intense, and I welcomed our Thanksgiving break this past week with open arms. The six days off served as a much needed and appreciated respite from the daily study grind, and the comforts of home were exactly what I needed to recharge for the last three weeks before our two week long winter break.
As I head into the final theme of the year, I’m a little apprehensive: the gastrointestinal system theme did not go very well for me last year, but I am determined to prove to myself that with more hard work and focus I can succeed. I’ve learned that this medical school thing is a marathon, not a sprint, and right now, we’ve just got to push through the last homestretch before half time (err…you know what I mean)!
