Since I have completed all of my medical school requirements and patiently wait for graduation, I have been looking for ways to learn more about my new profession. Many medical professionals around the nation have provided numerous lectures, texts, and modules that learners can take advantage of. I find it so inspirational that during this time everyone has come together to find ways to utilize the time we have as future physicians. I have also managed to contribute as much as I can by providing mentoring sessions for medical students who are getting ready to apply for residency during these uncertain times. I find that sharing my experiences both as a learner and as a teacher has allowed me to make a contribution to the field of medicine while social distancing. I encourage you to reach out to your institution to see ways to get involved either by either creating or contributing to online modules that others around the nation can also take advantage of. Learning does not just happen in the classroom!
