So I was worried for nothing right? First class has been passed successfully! Now I’m off to study for an exam in a class that hasn’t even started yet. I’m not sure if I will ever adjust to this but it is what it is. Survival is necessary to get my MD. All I need to do physically is survive, mentally learn, but physically survive. This has to be the worst part of medical school. I’m not sure how its possible to study like this, be involved, and do the research and all to stay on the road to getting the residency of your choice and still have time to exercise, cook, and sleep. I am fairly sure at this point that to do all of it is impossible. My aim at this point is to watch what I eat and work to try to get 7 hours of sleep at least once in a week.
We’ve scheduled the elections for the SNMA board positions for incoming students. I’m super excited! This is a huge step in the right direction for our SNMA! I think the only thing other than the impending doom we call PB&T that is bothering me is the fact that I’m not going to get to see my family for quite a while. I won’t get to see my friends for a while as well but being away for over a month is not going to be fun. Hopefully I will get home for Labor Day but we shall see.
