The past two weeks were definitely very rough, but I’m doing much better now that Ethics, CaTOS, and Health Care in Developing Countries is over! All that hardwork definitely paid off, because I received some great news this week.
I got my fellowship through the SNMA!!!! I will be presenting at the Annual Medical Education Conference in April! This brings me to admit, I’ve never presented a poster before! This whole process will be a very exciting adventure! I’m so grateful for the opportunity to really develop new skills. And finally, I found out that I have been selected for the 2014 MLK Distinguished Service Award at my university. I’m so blessed and humbled for all of the opportunities afforded to me! I can’t even begin to say anything more than God has been leading me and guiding me through this amazing path that he has built for me.
So for this spring break, I’m spending time preparing for all that I have coming up in the near future like my presentation and scholarships that I’m applying for as well as spending time with my family. My grandma is extra excited for my accomplishments and wants to go out for dinner to celebrate so that’s on the list as well as a trip to see my family in DC. My little cousin is like a sister to me so since I’ve started school, I’ve been planning to see her as much as possible.
There will be no studying and absolutely no alarm clocks! I’ll be sure to let you know how it all goes.
Until next time!
