As many of you know, I am currently in an intensive review course for the summer in Chicago. Hard to believe I am almost finished with the second month! Time is going by so fast when all I do is eat, sleep, study, and workout. I feel like I have learned so much, but still have a long way to go.
One thing that gets me through the long study days is having a good pair of noise-cancelling headphones and a great playlist on my phone. I ALWAYS listen to classical/jazz music when I study because I find that any music with lyrics is distracting. Yiruma is one of my favorite pianists to listen to while studying. I like putting on the jazz radio or classical radio on XM radio to discover new songs/artists that help me focus the best.
I also find that I study better outside of my apartment. If I am anywhere near my bed, I get distracted and sleepy and take too many breaks. I’ve found a few local coffee shops right around the corner that I frequent. I also find that studying with my boyfriend or other friends is helpful because it keeps me focused, as well as being able to ask for clarification on what I don’t understand.
